FAQs

  • We ask for a table with enough space for the number of illustrators hired, chairs for each illustrator, and close proximity to electric (within a few feet is ideal). Please don’t put us in a dark spot! :) Semi lit- to well lit areas are ideal (thank you!).

  • When guests approach our table, one of our illustrators will take a photo to reference. That way, guests can enjoy the event and pick up their completed portrait at the end! All guests are welcome to watch the live drawing process. To accommodate as many guests as possible, we limit one portrait per person.

  • For a black and white portrait (this can include a pop of color), we aim to keep it in the 7-10 minute range. This allows us to fully capture guests in a way we see fit (paying special attention to a fun pattern or accessory). Full color can take a few minutes longer. In order to expedite drawings in a timely manner, we typically focus on the torso and face. We are happy to offer full color/full body portraits with the understanding that this will take longer.

  • For a typical 2-3 hour event- this is the rule of thumb:
    1-2: Artists to 50-150 guests2 Artists: 60-250 guests3 Artists: 150-350 guests4-6 Artists: 400+ guestsPlease note that not every guest may be interested in being drawn, but will enjoy watching!

  • While we would loooooove to provide a sketch for every single guest, it’s typically not possible during an event period. We do, however, provide portraits for many guests. Guests who do not wish to be drawn are usually interested in observing/peeking over our shoulders :) It’s safe to say our service is a highlight of events! If you do wish to provide an illustration for everyone- you may want to explore our commission option.

  • Yes- we love to travel! We are currently based in Philadelphia, with a member of our team in New York. We do charge a travel fee that covers our team’s expenses such as flight, hotel, food, and transportation.
    If you are outside of a 30 mile radius from where we are located, we charge a travel fee as well.

  • We typically illustrate guests at events, but will also happily draw a wedding venue, the cake etc.- anything that makes your day extra special! We accept commissions- these include home and business illustrations, children/family, and pets!

  • We are the anti- caricature! My goal with our team of artists is to let them reflect their own personal style while staying rooted in a more realistic/fashion forward motif.

  • Yes! Your team is welcome to design the template (we will provide the requirements) or we can design a template based on the style you are looking for.

  • You are more than welcome to purchase a gift card from our shop (coming soon!) or provide a well lit, clear photo for us to work from (and place an order with us directly). Depending on the time of year, turnaround can be anywhere from a few days to two weeks.
